The prefix does the damage. In "degrowth", "de" does not just precede the word, it dismantles it, and the break spreads into "growth" itself.
Degrowth argues for shrinking economic activity in response to dwindling resources. This typogram tries to make that argument visible in a single word. Each letter of GROWTH was cut, inverted or fragmented intuitively, with no fixed rule. One constraint held throughout: legibility. It had to read as a word collapsing, not as an abstract mark.
